Today's Adventure: Book Signing with Steve Doocy!

Today we went to Barnes and Noble to purchase Steve Doocy's (of Fox and Friends fame) new book, Tales From the Dad Side. I had originally planned to surprise Justin with a signed copy, but he was able to go with us to the book signing! It was really fun to meet Mr. Doocy in person--what a neat guy. He told a few stories from his book, was nice enough to chat with Justin for a few moments about his new role as a dad, and take pictures with everyone. Just wish we had remembered to turn Olivia around for the photo!

Big Bows in Cowtown

I finally got a bow on Olivia! This was purchased for her by Lolly (formerly Gigi...a.k.a. Candis, Justin's mom) and I just had to take some pictures. Also, she really starting to smile!! It's been hard to capture, but there's a few pictures with a "sort of" smile, and one with her tongue sticking out. Enjoy!

Dr. Visit

What a big girl! We took Olivia to her 1 month checkup on Monday and found out that she is growing like a weed. She is now 10 lbs., 8 oz. and 22 1/4 inches long--wow! She is in the 90th percentile for both height and weight--doc says she is doing great. She also had the second round of her Hepatitis B shot, which she did NOT like. She calmed down pretty quickly afterward. We are so pround of our baby girl!

Happy Birthday, Sweet Girl!

Our baby girl is 1 month old today! I can hardly believe it...time is FLYING by--it seems like just a few days ago we were at the hospital meeting each other for the first time. She is getting so big and changing every day. We put her on her tummy today--she is raising her head up and it looks like she wants to crawl already (of course, I know she's not...)!! It's amazing how much I love this little girl...

What a Busy Day!

Yesterday we had such a busy day (for us, anyway!)...first Olivia and I made it to lunch with my friend Mary Kathryn and Olivia's adorable friend Lydia at Panera. It was really fun to get out for a change. After lunch, we stopped at Justin's office so he could show her off :-) It was great because he was able to leave early--yay!! Then, we stopped to vote early--what a line for a Wednesday afternoon! Olivia was a hit with several people in line and at the polling place, and of course I couldn't help but document her first trip to vote with a picture. Justin's grandmother, Mimi, came yesterday--after meeting Olivia, she said, "Now I know why they call us great!" I think it was love at first sight... Here's a few pictures from the rest of the day:

Welcome!

Welcome to our new blog! I decided to put this blog together after numerous requests for pictures and updates on how things are going in the Lauderdale household, now that Olivia is a part of our lives. I hope to keep it current, but please be patient with a new mama!
